I still learn how to optimize my Wordpress blog and from few a days ago I try some optimization to my blog. My first optimization was changing my permalink structure as stated on address bar. My permalink doesn’t include any post date. Besides setting permalink I do some advice from wordpress help about setting on Meta description, adding robots.txt and adding sitemap on my blog.

Meta description optimization needs to prevent search engine to crawling pages on our blogs as duplicate content, even if it is not. Adding Robots.txt has similar function with first step, to prevent our blog from duplicate content issues. Last step, but not least, is adding sitemap. I have used Wordpress plugin from this blog. We can easily install this plugin to our wordpress, configure it, and the plugin will do the rest for us to generate our sitemap. The sitemap generated will be also Google friendly.
